Project description
Conceptual design for residential duplex apartments. The client is over 45 years old and aims to develop a building where five families around the same age would live, sharing common social areas facilities.
The idea of the client is that a couple of this age might have at some point the interest of having the flexibility to have their own space within the flat; as a result the apartment should provide two identical suits where the bathroom is allocated in the middle and communicates both main rooms, becoming the heart of the suits.
As a result the design concept is inspired in a legend of Santa Cruz de la Sierra: ‘El bibosi y el motacu’. The heart of the building becomes the vertical circulation to the respectives apartments.
Location
Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia
